Parking Information


You can park for FREE every Sunday and after 6pm in all District Council town car parks throughout the 
year. Click the map for a large version showing names of car parks and travel options.

Remember, parking is already free in the town centre car parks on Sundays and after 6pm so great for when you’re popping in for a bite to eat or a drink with friends.

There are lots of shops open on a Sunday from 10am – 4pm.

Shopmobility – making shopping easier

If you have temporary or permanent restrictions to your mobility then Shopmobility will make Christmas shopping a breeze in an easy to access, pedestrianised town centre.

If you need a scooter or wheelchair, Shopmobility, located in Princes Street car park, is open from Monday to Saturday, 10am – 3pm. Click this link for the full details on Huntingdon Shopmobility.

Phone and Pay for your Parking

Motorists can now pay for parking sessions by their phone, SMS or Smartphone and receive text confirmation and reminders as well as extend parking sessions at the touch of a button.

Huntingdonshire District Council has introduced ‘Phone and Pay’, a cashless parking system which has been rolled out initially across 12 of the district’s long stay car parks. It will be introduced in short stay car parks at a later date.

Ingram Street
Great Northern Street
Riverside (Long Stay)

To encourage motorists to register and use the new service, there will be no transaction or SMS charges for the first year that the service is in operation.
