Community rallies round to support travel firm’s charity appeal

Travel agents in Huntingdon collected more than 200 chocolate treats in a children’s Easter appeal.

Premier Travel, based in High Street, was overwhelmed by donations from customers, businesses and organisations in the town following a recent appeal for Easter treats. The goodies were collected and distributed to youngsters in care in the area in time for Easter.

The branch has organised its Easter appeal for the past four years to help children in the community who are less fortunate. It follows the branch’s Santa’s Sack appeal in December, which collects Christmas gifts for children in care homes.

Holly Shotter, branch manager, said: “Our Easter appeal this year was incredibly successful. The whole community rallied round to help boost our collection – thanks to everyone who donated. The contributions were greatly received and helped to make Easter really special for children in care.”
