New look for All Saints Church

Posted: Thu, April 13th, 2017

The reordering work in All Saints’ Church in the Market Square is nearly complete providing our community with up-to-date facilities. The work includes a toilet, excellent kitchen with outside bar area, inner electric door, sound equipment with a screen, underfloor heating and a striking labyrinth in the middle of the floor.

Labyrinths are designed to give space to ponder on our spiritual life. People of all faiths and none can benefit from it and everyone is welcome.

All Saints’ will once again be a place for christenings, weddings and funerals, with space suitable for receptions and meetings. WiFi is to be installed soon. Footsteps, the term time Thursday morning group for under 5s, will return on 20 April; The Blind Society will be running charity coffee mornings every second Wednesday and other groups are offering classes and the chances to come together in the afternoon and evenings. Look out for posters on the railings.

All Saints’ will continue to be a church that witnesses to the presence of God in Jesus Christ in the midst of us, and a safe place that belongs to, and is used by, many folk whatever their beliefs.
