George Hay Chartered Accountants demonstrated their continued growth plans by appointing Claire Morgan as their eighth partner in the practice.

The firm, which has offices in Huntingdon, Biggleswade and Letchworth, is celebrating its 80th Anniversary this year, during which time continued growth and expansion has made them one of the best-known local accountancy practices.

Claire Morgan, who is a Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (MAAT) was previously the firm’s Practice Manager. She joined George Hay more than 30 years ago and is responsible for advising a wide range of SME businesses and individuals on accounting and taxation matters.

Claire originally started her career as an accounts trainee and has worked at all three of the firm’s offices over the years. Claire said: “Having only taken up the role in April, assisting our clients in my capacity as a Partner is already proving to be extremely rewarding. I have always enjoyed working at George Hay and am proud to be part of the practice and now even more so as a partner. As we continue to grow, develop and innovate, this is an exciting opportunity for me to contribute and to champion the firm’s core values.”

Nick Willis, the firm’s Senior Partner, added: “We are pleased to be able to welcome Claire as a Partner. She has been with us for many years and, in that time, has gained a valuable understanding of the workings of the practice, our client base and the needs of those businesses and individuals we work with. I know our clients will benefit from the experience that Claire has,”
