Huntingdon Carnival and Live in the Park Festival Weekend
Saturday 11 August 12 noon – 5pm
Sunday 12 August 12 noon – 7pm
Back for its third year, Huntingdon Carnival will be in the Riverside Park with a bigger and better Festival Weekend than before!
The Carnival Procession starts at the Market Square at 12 noon headed by the Caledonian Pipes and Drums followed by the Carnival Queen and her court in a fairy tale ‘pumpkin’ coach drawn by Shire horses. Local groups in the procession include Urban Dance Studio, TAG Bikes, local majorettes, local care homes, international community groups, colourful characters and many more with the theme, “That’s Entertainment”.
The parade ends in the Riverside Park arena with prize giving for ‘Best in Parade’, awarded by the Mayor of Huntingdon. There will be fairground rides, craft, community and charity stalls, licensed bar and refreshments plus a Viking encampment!
Arena entertainment includes an open dog show and agility course facilitated by Cromwell Vets practice. ‘Live in the Park’ on Sunday will feature local bands and solo artists on stage including Almost ABBA, SKA-DUST, Junkyard Peachers, Travis Graham, The Sidekicks, Solomon Smith and 4th LABYRINTH.
And it’s FREE entry!
