Barker Storey Matthews, whose Huntingdon office is on High Street, has once again been recognised as one of the UK’s most active regional property agents by property research specialists, EGi.
For the fifth year in succession, Barker Storey Matthews has been awarded the title of East of England Overall Winner. For the third year it has also won the top dealing agent slot among its peers in the region in the office and industrial sectors.
In addition, this year sees the company hold the number one position for deals in the investment sector rising from fourth position in last year’s competition.
EGi commented that Barker Storey Matthews has extended “its position of strength..” in “..a market strongly controlled by the regional players.”
The EGi Deals Competition is open to agents, including national firms, who complete commercial property transactions in Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk and it assesses the volume of deals – covering both sales and lettings.
Commenting on Barker Storey Matthews’ repeated success, Richard Adam, Director, based in Huntingdon, said, “With offices in Huntingdon, Cambridge, Peterborough and Bury St Edmunds, we operate in a region of national significance. Yet it’s also a market where regional players consistently demonstrate market leadership. It’s a testament to how vital on the ground, sound, local knowledge is to securing transactions and the importance of enduring relationships with developers, investors, landlords and occupiers. It is gratifying to be judged at the top of the overall list of regional and national agencies operating in such a competitive market and in such an economically active region as the East of England.”
